Vancouver con Colleen, Heather, Kim, Dorian, Keith, Jordyn y pescado. Wowza. oh si y mi familia tambien. Estoy aqui a Emily Carr. Es muy bueno. Ay caramba! Emily Carr es una escuela muy buena. me gusta Vancouver. Yo quiero vivir en vancouver. edmonton es bueno, pero el oceano esta en Vancouver y no esta en Alberta. Hez no habla espanol. Soy estupido. I shouldn't write in spanish. it is a fun language, but I am making an ass of myself not remembering how to spell things or remembering words. Vancouver is nice. i like here. but edmonton is on the horizon.

I got much honey in the mail yesterday. I've decided my halloween costume is going to be made from the other items present in a good-bag type gift I received from out Vancouver way. I will be a honey eating, noseflute playing, eye patch wearing, fish fortune telling, magical growing dinosaur keeper. That's right. Yeah for birthdays!!!
Sweet Monkey Tuesdays!

I am not writing my essay. I am considering not writing it at all. I probably will, but let it be known to the universe that I object to the writing of meaningless essays. Grr. Anyway, school is awesome except this essay, and the last essay. Damn you cultural anthro! Why do you torment me so? another torment, my parents keep making reference to a potential confusion that could occur at work between Boston Pizza spokesperson "Howie Mandel" and our new mayor "Stephen Mandel." It usually involves the idea of a confused outsider who happens to stumble upon a BP commerical in which Howie Mandel's name is used and in his or her strange southern accent says something to the effect of "Hey it that yur mayer what wears the no pants on the tv and does them commericals for Boston pizza?" I guess it is just beyond me. Tia and I played "Mind Trap" in the Second Cup today. Then we tried to figure out backgammon, but alas there were not enough pieces. And Balderdash too was in short supply of the components required to play the game. Sorry, my brain is starting to switch to essay mode. Let's make things sound pompous, arrogant, and difficult in order to create the illusion of intelligence! yeah! right-o. that's it.
From Dusk til...yes stupid vampire movie
Wednesday, October 13, 2004 10:39 p.m.
Okay so after hours of watching Quentin Tarantino movies I've decided I liked "Reservoir Dogs" the best. so far anyway. I just discovered that I haven't seen "Jackie Brown" and some of the others he just wrote the story or screen play for, so I guess I can't completely judge, but I am going to make judgements without knowing all the information. Sue me. Oh Quentin, such a crazy crazy man.
Marvelous Breadfish!!

Creepy, but fun. Has anyone else ever been driving and suddenly realized "Good God who let me drive?!!??" I actually forgot I was driving. I must be more tired than I realize. Damn working until 10. Grr. Heather and Colleen called me! It was fun to talk to them. My Trevor-y friends how I miss them. So many people have left. I hope everyone is happy where they are. E-town is slowly becoming Brown-town once again or as Tia calls it "Dead-monton" I can see where she gets that idea, but come on we have Red Panadas at the zoo now! They are soo wonderful! Cheryl and I are planning to break in to their enclosure and pet them. They are probably not too friendly, but they are definitely one of the coolest animals ever! Yeah for school! Boo for work, except for some of the people who are aces all the way. I keep seeing people in the halls, but they don't see me and I don't like running after people like a crazy. Sorry for the random tangents, you want another? Okay. Did you know that there are 31 bones in the lower limb? There are 26 alone in your ankle and foot. Cool no? Well I leave you with a fun word: Olecranon Fossa. Cool, no? That's your elbow. MY CAPS BUTTON IS STUCK ON> WEIRD NO? ACTUALLY I THINK IT IS THE SHIFT> OH WELL> NIGHT>
DAMN YOU PETER HILL!!!!
Monday, September 20, 2004 03:45 p.m.
Sorry. I see him everywhere. At least once a month I see this guy with the blond dreadlocks who used to have his own show about Edmonton on Shaw Cable, aka Peter Hill. He is always on Whyte Ave, or in HUB mall. Today he wasn't wearing his usual black shirt that I always see him in and that he wore on his show all the time, he was wearing a rather cool Scotland shirt. Still damn him for being everywhere I am. I wonder if he speaks in real life with the same voice he uses on his show. The high squeaky excited one that sounds fake.....hmmm.....
Grr. I mean happy! :-)
Tuesday, September 7, 2004 11:19 p.m.
I really really want just to tell off a certain person right now. They haven't done anything to me really, I just feel the need to tell them how I feel right now. Grrr. Damned person. Anyway on some happier notes. School is starting tomorrow!!! yeah!! and I think Alli is back from France now. Alli if you are reading this (it is sad if you are, such an ugly page) I hope you had a fantastic time! and on that note I will try to fall asleep now. I haven't got out of bed before 9am in at least a month. Grr. sleep. Sleep sheep. hehe...sheep.
who wants to study a menu?
Saturday, August 28, 2004 01:11 p.m.
I'm not sure I enjoy this working thing. bleck. oh well. what is it that people keep saying? yes, "well you can only gain experience (and money) from this, so hang on. It'll get better." I believe this all to lies. Lies! Lies!! Lies I tell you!! other than all the "wonderful experience" I'm getting lifeis okay. school starts soon! yeah!! It is sad though. So many people are in the west. I cry a tear down the middle of my cheek out of the center of my eye for you, not that you won't have fun, but I'll miss you. When ya'll come back though...fun fun party times. righto.
Sunday, August 22, 2004 09:42 p.m.

Monday, June 7, 2004 10:01 p.m.
Did you read the two below this first? No? then do so. Yes? then keep reading this one. Okay so we have arrived in Kilarney right? right. wait no I didn't talk about the jaunting ride around Kilkenny national park. It was great crack. Jaunting is sitting in a little open carriage being pulled by a horse. Ours was a horse of a horse named Charlie. Our driver was good too, but he was also a firefighter so our ridehad to be cut a little short so he could go fight a fire. the park was gorgeous as Heather would say. "What a gorgeous gorge"
(I forget which number so back to 1)
1. Kilarney was nice, next we went to the Dingle Penisula. Stopped at a lovely Irish beach where people were surfing, crazy no? The name was something like Couamennenenenenenenen...nen right. Nice, weird sand though, it really stuck to you and seemed to be made of crushed shells...different than Alberta sand that is for certain.
2. Dingle for lunch. We kept stopping at little grocery type stores and getting sandwiches. lots of sandwiches (does that word have an e? hmmm...) right so Dingle, fun name. Not as fun as our next stop though which was...3. Doolin. That is a cracking name isn't it? wait, Heather or Hwarg as I typed it earlier has informed me that I forgot about "story time with Mick" We stopped at some lovely cliffs (the most westernly point in Europe (We think, does Portugal go out further than Ireland, some check the atlas) that you can walk to) did anyone follow that? I think I did. right. Mick told us the cracking legend of Fionn MacCool. A horse of a man who had lots of crack running around Ireland with the Fennian warriors, and his son Ossian, who went to Tir na nog (The land of eternal yout- in Ireland they can't say anything with a "th" combination it is quite amusing) right and then Ossian came back and Ireland was all different and sad, good cracking story though. back to Doolin right Hez? "Aye" she says. right so Doolin=village that Mick describes as having "two pubs and a telephone box." well we saw the pubs, but couldn't find any telephone boxes so what does that say to you? There was nothing really in this town, except a bridge. The bridge. On our tour there was this South African named Sean. He liked whiskey a lot. He ran across the bridge naked. Thank the gods we had gone for a walk whilst he was doing it and no one showed us the photos. Scary stuff. right sleep and next day!
3. Doolin to Galway. This day was rather disappointing. Fog fog foggy mist was everywhere. We went to see a cool burial thing that is supposedly supposed to be a fertility place if you do the dirty deed on the top of it, I can't remember the name, but it was in the Burren. Another good story about Fionn as told by Mick here. It was about how some princess was supposed to marry Fionn but fell in love with his right hand man and they ran away and were chased and they lived in these places (as mentioned above) until a boar killed the dude and the girl ended up with Fionn anyway. Heather is criticizing my story telling, but I doubt she could remember anymore of it or tell it better. apparently the story does sound a little better if you read it with an Irish accent though. Coo head. (that's to Heather not anyone else) okay, foogy mist covered the Cliffs of Moher so we could not see any of it. It was like a big blank thing that was white and blank blanketing over the cliffs making them look blank. We looked at postcards though, and then I bought a tin whistle. sorry to those at my home who will have to listen to it. I like though so ha. Then driving in fog and mist which was very "misterious" (I think we made that pun about 28 times each) until we reached the fun city of Galway.
4. Galway! Fire dancing and spoon/fecker playing, yes and meeting some locals two "fine agricultural lumps of lad" (that'll take a while to explain, just go with it) who sat down with us whilst we played spoons. Galway was full of good crack. We were surrounded by Americans whilst playing spoons in the hostel- one named Steve who we said goodbye to and never expected to see again until the next day when we ran into him at this Abbey- spoons was fun, sleep was good. We wandered around a lot in Galway, it would be fun to go back there, and to Lisdoonvarna- not just for the name but for the six week long trad music fest. right, we also walked around an old ring fort and were warned about mean leprechauns and fairies that would steal you baby then turn into a copy of your baby and be a really bad baby so you would through it on to the fire to see if it really was your baby and if it didn't disapper then you just had a bad baby, but if it did "pop" then it was a changling. weird stories Mick passed to us eh?right Galway to Westport.
5. the way to Westport. the weather was still misty so it wasn't spectacular, but we stopped at Dog's Bay beach, had a picnic sang the Canadian naitonal anthem for everyone on the bus (damn you Heather for not knowing it in French and making me do it alone, right cause we were the only Canadians so I had to cause no one else would nave known it and there are a lot of Australians in Europe and I am rambling......) drive drive drive- then to Westport. walk around, much indecision over where to eat. The chinese food we had was good, it paled in comparison to the Quesadillas we had in Galway but sweet and sour meat is always tasty. We managed to find a great pub full of crack with live musicians and Baileys so it was good times- I think I got away with makig Hez pay that night hehe! then a confusing walk back as we were a little "lightheaded" as we walked back to the hostel., but we found it okay. Then sleep then sleep until morning. intriguing stuff eh?
7. Back to Dublin. Long long drive. not much happened. I was really hyper, everyone else seemed exhausted, Mick was werid cause he lost 200 euros of company money, and we stopped at a Whiskey distillary museum so the whiskey might have got to some people. drive drive to Dublin. A strange and fast good bye- then to hostel where there was much confusion about which beds we were actually staying in...some people's kids eh? a evening out saying goodbye to some new friends and some sleep. It was a bank holiday weekend in Ireland though so that means the entire country stopped working. There was another frustrating time getting to Wales, the ferry was nice though, and then an overly expensive too hot train ride that left us feeling a tad grumpy, but Bath is beautiful so the worries are melting away.
8. BathBathBath. Bath is very nice. Kind of like a tamer and more English Italy, but different. Stonehenge was really ubercool and the audio tour wasn't nearly as bad as some of the others we have payed to listen to. We have just been wandering about Bath all day, being sad of course that we have to leave tomorrow to go back to London, but all is well. for the most part. So I finished Ireland, I probably forgot some thing but tough. "Deal" as Margo would say. I will maybe write again, but I'll probably just write about the last days in London and the flight home once we get home on Thursday at midnight. tooooooo soooon!!!!!! oh well there is always next next next next summer. Talk to who ever reads this soon, and we deeply apologize if you get postcards after we get back, it was hard to find stamps anywhere but Scotland, I swear! Ciao for now!

See below for part 1!
Alright so after Kilkenny...
4. Drive to Kilarney. So much killing. On this lovely drive- beautiful day- no rain!! we stopped at the amazingly gorgeous Blarney Castle. It was a cool cool castle. We kissed the blarney stone and everything. Awesome castle. Drive Drive Drive we won some whiskey, how you ask? We played a lovely random question quiz game on the bus and I won with a whopping 14 right out of 30, Heather came in 2nd with 13. Crazy. Kilarney was nice, did I mention that we went to lots and lots of pubs in Ireland. A different one every night. Twas nuts I tells ya! There was also some cracking good music in the pubs, crazy Uillean Pipes and other instruments (tin whistle!!) filled our hearts with Irish melodies and spirit (like Baileys, wait no...oh yes.) Guiness is crap. I said it. Hate me if you want. It is not good, as Hez says "It tastes like beer flavoured molassas."
I am going to make you wait again-it is too hot to type and my brain has stopped being able to remember exactly what happened. Check back for part 3-probably later tonight. Ciao!

Hello. As the title implies we are in Bath, England now. Ireland in sadly in the past. It was fan-fecking-tastic though. There was plently of grand crack there too. To clarify: feck= not as bad of as word as you'd think, kind of a less harsh version of the other f-word. Crack=fun. Irish people are crazy. okay so this is what we've been up to.
1. Edinburgh to Dublin. I'm not going to say it but it rhymes with "clucking bell." What an insane trip. Okay, we start on the bus from Edinburgh to Glasgow-sad sad I had to drag Heather on the bus to get her away from Scotland. This bus trip was short and it wasn't too bad. The bus from Glasgow to the ferry wasn't too bad either- except the most annyoing (and most popular apparently) cell phone ring in the world kept going off. It consists of just two high pitched beeps. I admit it was driving me a little crazy. The ferry was not too shabby, it was pretty fancy. After the ferry though, that's when Ireland dealt us our first blow. You see no one told us that we had to take another connecting bus to our bus. so we missed our bus. crap right. no crack in that. We managed to get a taxi to the bus station and thanks to an old old old old old old old old bus driver we got on a bus to Dublin that we shouldn't have been on.
2. Dublin. Scary bus station. Dodgey streets, and a very nice hostel. We wandered around try and find where we were meant to meet the next morning, but in Dublin streets change names about every block and if there were street signs I never saw them. We walked through Temple Bar. which is a crazy crazy area of bars and partying. Then we eventually found where to meet our tour, adn discovered how crap Irish phones are. The beginning of the tour was alright though
3. Dublin to Kilkenny. We saw some lovely old ruinous castles. One at a place called Cashel ( Cashel Castle, hehe!) and discovered that our tour guide (Mick) was only half as good as Will, but he also had only been doing his job for a year so...yes, Ireland is very green, and very pretty. The music is also a lot of fun.The night in Kilkenny was alright. It was pretty rainy though. Oh well. Okay I will write more later today, I want to see Stonehenge so, yes later.
Scotland is Crazy Amazing!!!
Friday, May 28, 2004 11:54 a.m.
Alright, so the last time I wrote was in Amsterdam, now I am in Edinburgh, lots has happened.
Did I tell you about going to Anee Frank's house and the Van Gogh museum? Well I have now anyway, both were very interesting. And we ate our last meal as a tour in this crazy floating Thai restaurant in Amsterdam, it was very good. Alright so that covers Amsterdam. Nest we:
1. Left Amsterdam for the long drive back to London. It was very nice to drive through the Belgian country side, although if no one had told me I'd left the Netherlands I probably wouldn't have realized. right so drive drive drive and then France and Calais( hey we've been here before!)
2. So in Calais this time, crossing over on the ferry was quick and no one threw up, boring crossing really
3. In dover we had to go through customs and I got the guy who asked all the questions. Even ones that I had already given him answers to on the paper that you have to fill out. Damn customs.
4. Drive back to London from Dover, pretty, not really rainy, some lovely sun shining through the clouds, our tour manager played some crazy Beatles remix that had every Beatle song I've ever heard one right after the other, some mixed into eachother, ect.
5. In London, good bye to group, this was a little sad, but Jen (did I talk about Ontario Jen that we met, I can't remember) Heather and I headed off to our hostel together and told some people we'd meet them again on Thursday for fish and chips
6. London again, we did laundry (oohh fun) and booked a lovely tour of scotland, then we went on a Jack the Ripper tour. It was kind of distrubing, but it wasn't all that creepy cause it wasn't darlk or rainy, then Thursday, said bye to Jen and went for fish and chips. The chips were good, but the fish was really boney and scaley and not too appetizing.
7. Friday left london for Edinburgh...bus for 10 hours, not too bad, we are pretty pro at bus taking. Edinburgh is amazingly beautiful!! Carzy beautiful, or as Will would say "Dead Sexy" (wait I've not introduced Will yet, wait for a couple more points)our hostel is not too bad, and there is an very sexy castle in Edinburgh.
8. Leave on HAGGiS tour. Haggis is a bus tour company and we went on a tour called "compass buster" which is a 6 day tour of the Scottish highlands. this is when we meet Will. Will=crazy Scot driver and tour guide. He likes to call everything sexy (castles, sheep, bathrooms, mountains, rivers you get my point) and he has an awesome Scottish accent. He can also quote from "BraveHeart" and he did say that we was William Wallace. He was crazy, but he showed us a lot of "cheekywee" place to go and some "dogdeywee" places to avoid. Our bus was very Austrailian once again, and the only other Canadian was this insane 60+ year old woman named Carol who was just insane. okay so we leave on this tour on Saturday the 22. It was flipping awesome!!
9.Wallace Monument. We climbed up to the Wallace monument. It was quite cool, very sexy. There was this video that was quite funny because of the way they presented it. There was a screen with Longshanks and Robert the Bruce and some other on it too, but Wallace was a statue with a hologram face projected on to it. So the statue-type thing was supposed to be Wallace, it was very funny and kind of cool.
10. Oban. Small town in west-southnorth of Scotland. We stayed in a very nice hostel and climbed up to a kind of sexy colosseum-esque building to watch the sunset. It was not spectacular, but it was pretty. No pub that night, I was trying to cough up my own lung, and Heather wasn't feeling too well either.
11. Drive to the Isle of Skye. Stopped for a "wee" (rather not wee actually) hike through Geln Nevis ( they shot parts of Brave heart there) and it was very lovely, very sexy
12. Skye, ugly bridge, nice Island. not much to do in Kyleakin, where we stayed, but we did walk up to a wee castle and went to a pub called "Saucy Mary's"
13. Day on Skye, up to Portree and some amazing sights! We had haggis with clopslap. It was not all that bad. Clopslap by the way is mashed potatoes and tunips mixed together. Then we went for another wee walk up a lovely hill, quiriang I do believe it was called. I was a wuss, didn't go all the way up, but I think Heather got some photos from the top, so yes....
14. Skye to Ullapool. We seemed to take the long way there, driving over to Inverness and Loch Ness first, but the Highland country side is amazingly sexy so it was well worth it. Inverness was alright, we went to safeway and saw the ugliest castle in Scotland, then we went for a walk through a mall and in HMV Return of The King was playing so Heather had a bit of a distraction to deal with. In Ullapool that night, we didn't go to a pub, we watched Braveheart. I think most people had seen it before ( I'd seen almost all of it, just not the end) but it was weird to watch it and know how much of it wasn't true, and also to see places that we had been to on the tv.
15.Ullapool to Loch Ness and Fort Augustus. We didn't see the monster. darn. we did got to a lot of places to skip stones though. people like to skip stones. we also went to a very nice sandy beach up north called Dornoch beach. This is where we learned (from Will of course) that the Scots invented beaches. According to Will though, everything comes back to the Scots and Scotland. Even Ayers Rock in Australia. Fort Augustus was nice, we tried to watch Highlander -the movie with Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery- but I think I was the only one who actually wanted to finish watching it, but I'd already seen it so it was off to the bar at the hostel. This is where we learned an "interesting" drinking game. It involves swearing a lot (really just saying that lovely f-word over and over) and remembering people's nicknames (which gets harder and harder the mosre you drink) if you want to learn it we'll teach it to you later.
16. Fort Augustus to Edinburgh. The end of this trip was sad too, but it was a lot shorter as well so I don't I got as attached to people. The drive was long and lovely and we got to take pictures of this beautiful old house reflecting perfectly off of a very mirror-like lake. Tour was over, sad, goodbye, Aaron kissed Heather's ear instead of her cheek, then back to hostel! Heather slept for a few hours, I slept a bit too, and then we went out to say goodbye again to some people from the tour. we all met at 9 and went to a strange seedy bar called "Salsa" because they had pints for only 2 pounds (yeah, she said sarcastically) we stayed for maybe half an hour then we all went to another place. I didn't catch it's name, but it was a "dance" club. The DJ was not so good, and there weren't very many people, it was a little boring but Heather and I started rapping Arrogant Worms' songs to the beat of the crap. much fun. We stayed for a while, just until they finished playing the Hawaii 5-0 theme (which was our moring song on the tour) then we left. We never found Mike from South Africa though so I guess we are still technically "it" from our game of tag. oh well. we'll pass it on soon enough. We eventually got back to the hostel - I think that I suck at directions- were we went to sleep, yes interesting. Then we slept in until 9 am and then got up (fasanaticing ain't it?) and got out bus tickets to Dublin, booked a tour of Ireland, came to this Internet Cafe and started typing. wowza. We are headed for Ireland next, then back to London, then home sadly, but I'll be sure to try and write all about Ireland before we leave. Right if you are still reading this you must either have a lot of time on your hands or you are really really interested in what Heather and I are doing in Europe. I will write again soon, and maybe Heather will too, you never know. See you in 2 weeks! Bye!

wow. it is december. well in a few hours. time flies. but sharks do not. here is a thought. what if you were transported on to a huge spaceship, and on this spaceship was nothing but everything you loved, would you start to hate everything you loved because it was never anything you hate? yes. it is december. i think that my brain may be starting to freeze. weird dreams about spaceships. have a good one everyone. there are only thirty one days until it is no longer 2003. i just know i am still going to write 2003 on things for a while after new year's, though. i always do. even after a month changes i still write the last month for a while. yes. this is all very random. sorry. wow. i sound like an idiot. my brain must be starting to freeze. oh well. see you around.

Tuesday, October 21, 2003 02:32 p.m.
SO I ignored the blog, sue me. Nothing much has really happened. All the Vancouver (and ottawa too I suppose) people left, I've heard things, talked to Colleen, (and I am sorry that I am such a lazy ass and haven't written to you Jordyn and Colleen I am a lazy lazy ass) then school started. Yes university. It's good i suppose, most of it. not Comp Lit so much, but at least Kailey is in my class for that. Keith Urban/Carolyn Dawn Johnson/Jimmy Rankin concert was absoultely kick ass awesome!!!! I love Jimmy Rankin now. I bough both his CDs. Yes I have made myself very poor buying CDs. Oh well! I hung out with Zeller's new employee Heather for a while. We bought Arrogant worms tickets for march. yep, march. Colleen came back, dreadlocks are awesome. (Colleen did I ever play Bela Fleck's Lochs of Dread for you? Well it's about a rasta guy who has a nightmare about scotland, it's fun!). We all, the trevors that is (I know we can't be JET cause there is a band called JET, but5 What about EJT- sort form of Eject. Yes, our band should be called Eject, but that's probably taken too). Anyway it was fun to smash a chocolate dinosaur! then school, lack of homework doing, I got a bit of a haircut, I saw Allison in the hallway (it's sad I don't see anyone anymore, maybe I should put more effort into it!) then school and now, one week from today anyway, it's my birthday. Time flies.

Why blog-a-log? only because it rhymes! I had a lovely weekend at the folk fest. It was a great great time! Yeah for stalking worms, developing a new liking for the Bill Hilly Band and then having that liking dashed by Heather's constant playing of the music and the fact that we saw everyone of their shows. Too much Bill hilly Band. Yes, but is really a lot of fun. Not much else is going on, but I hope to be able to go to the Bistro Bienvenue tonight for the Jazz/goodbye night. And cheese.. I do love cheese. I want to work at Paddy's Interantional Cheese Market, and learn everything about cheese. umm....sorry about that but cheese is a strange thing. Colleen and I talked about cheese for half the day once and then and then went to Paddy's International Cheese Market and bought some Wensleydale with Cranberry. Awesome stuff!! Alright I should go clean now. bye.
